In Samarkand, the memory of Alisher Navoi was honored on his 585th birthday.

Commemorative events dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet and thinker Alisher Navoi were held in Samarkand. The celebrations took place in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation, which bears the classic's name and is rightfully considered one of the city's symbolic places.

 

From early morning, the park was filled with people - representatives of state and public organizations, university professors, writers, students, and schoolchildren came here. Many noted that such meetings help the younger generation to better understand the significance of Navoi's work and feel a connection with the rich cultural heritage.

 

The main events took place at the poet's monument. During the spiritual and educational program, participants were reminded of Navoi's life path, his enormous contribution to the development of literature, and the role his works continue to play in educating youth. It was emphasized that his work has long transcended the borders of one country and has become part of world culture.

 

Ghazals and rubaiyat were performed from the stage - both in the poet's native language and in translations. Theater actors presented short performances conveying the character and inner world of the thinker, which gave the event a special atmosphere.

 

The ceremony concluded with the laying of flowers at the foot of the monument. Participants honored the memory of the poet, whose legacy remains a source of inspiration and moral guidance for new generations to this day.
